About this tour

Get picked up at your accommodation and drive around 30 minutes to start your trek from the Village of Rui Vaz about 700 meters altitude, where you will have the opportunity to experience direct contact with the local farmers and learn about their agricultural practices growing sugar cane, mango trees, cassava, and bananas.
From the Rui Vaz you have the opportunity to enjoy a panoramic view of the São Jorge Valley, Pico D’Antónia Mountain, the highest point of Santiago island (1.394 meters of altitude).
Experience the production of the local rum (The Rum production season is from January 1st to April 31st) in Longueira village.
After the hike, visit the only botanical garden in the country that preserves some endemic plants of Cape Verde. The tour concludes with drop-off at your accommodation.
